Reaching out to Communities
Novelis has a variety of recycling initiatives to provide volunteer opportunities, support charities, provide community investment, and facilitating educational programs for its employees, business partners and community stakeholders.
Across the Company, Novelis and its employees give of their time, talent, and resources to make a difference. Thanks to the dedication demonstrated by Novelis employees and other partners in our communities, Novelis' annual America Recycles Day aluminum can recycling contest to benefit Habitat for Humanity is always a great success.
Donations are made to Habitat for Humanity affiliates across communities in, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Ohio and West Virginia. The Novelis Greensboro Plant was the recipient of the 2006 contest's $5,000 grand prize for their local Habitat affiliate. Employees and members of the local Greensboro, Georgia community collected and recycled the most aluminum beverage cans.
