Alcan, a long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity is helping launch Habitat’s Women Building a Legacy Program in Denver, Colorado. The program’s mission is to work through affiliates to nurture, recruit and train women to build and maintain simple, decent, healthy, and affordable houses. Alcan’s support in this program includes sponsoring a home and donating employees’ time and talent by being an active participant in the build.

The keys to the house were handed over to the Dehry family making them homeowners for the very first time. Stacey Sturgell had this to say about the build, "What is so amazing to me about this, is the people I have been working with. People from everywhere, all working together to build one home in one week."
